"Trash art" - is a national Youth Initiative in the frames of the Youth in Action programme.Interest of our initiative group is to talk with children about reasonable intake, about using old things in a new way. We would like to make an awareness among children, who will have recreation in the suburban camp Vihasoo, about ecology problem, recycling, how relevant is to save natural resources, how is important to take care about nature and we will try to build the sustainable environment system in children minds . As our theme is “Trash art” there is one main aim to inspire our target group to thinking about - what does the reasonable intake means to me? We are convinced that if young people (children) understand in childhood or adolescence, that it is necessary, precious and properly think about ecology and recycling, then later this attitude will become the norm of their behavior. The idea of our local youth initiative - to recall to young people about reasonable using of unnecessary stuff and to realize the problem ecology more globally. The project will base on artistic, creation in order to give things and objects a new life. Art is a good way to consider and illustrate the impact of our ideas on change. In the context of a non-formal and social education, the «doing/working together» is an important resource for organizing such project. Participants will alternatively involve in workshop and manual activities. Debates about necessity of trash sorting. Everyone will be able to come back home with food for thought. At the end of the project work, participants will show their creativity during big interactive exhibition in the camp Vihasoo. The guests will be children parents, children from neighbor camps Kotka and Viking, local people and people who will come from the Facebook invitation. If people want to take something from our project, they can do it. This part will be also as a disseminating effect. After the main part the initiative group will start disseminating part. During the preparation and activities (workshop "Trash art") will be make up video about the idea and result - interactive exhibition. This video will play a big role during spreading the project in other periods in the camp Vihasoo, in social networks and in presentations at schools.During the project will be used different methods:o Introduction with YiA programme and project idea (environment)o Debates – active involvement, participationo Presentations about ecological situation in Estonia and Europe in general (statistics, examples)o Video creation about project "Trash art" - "from idea to realization"o Animation and movie watching like introduction o Simulation games - about sorting and recycling, games on the forest territoryo Intellectual discussions o Workshop "Trash art"o Performanceso Public event (Big Interactive Exhibition) o Reflectiono Self- Evaluation
