We are interestin in the question of the fear that is related to the difference of the other and that directly can be the subject of the xenophobia. We are looking for the ways of overcoming it. Today, we notice that the crisis is increasing and unfortunately we are seeing a rise in nationalist trend in Europe and fear towards foreigners, migrants. We are interested in the meeting with the other, with those who are different from us and that can be a source of fear. its can be a source of violence, exclusion and lead to xenophobia. Our goal is to be able to project in the heart of the culture of the participants and to question the source of the potential xenophobia, to plunge directly into the culture that welcomes but also to confront the prejudices about this country. So we propose an youth exchange project between the young people from 13 to17 years old in difficulty from Algeria, France, Poland and Spain. Each country will send six young and one leader. Youth involved in this project are learning difficulties; dropout, coming from families dependent on welfare with several children and who are often neglected and with cultural differences: the descendants from immigrant families, persons belonging to national or ethnic minority.We propose making workshops primarily focused on theater practice with the topics : Stereotypes, prejudice, xenophobia and the encounter with the Other and the overcoming of fear of the other. They will end with a show and will be enriched by the intercultural evenings, linguistic and creative tour of the host city. The workshops will light up the different languages, because of the multilingualism of participants in order to encourage young people to learn the foreign language and enhance their language skills and practice them in given situations. Each national team would be required to come up with proposals scenes or themes related to xenophobia and stereotypes in their country and with the information about the cultures of other participants. We would like to use real stories and talk about situations from participants and encourage them to write from to strengthen this compétence. We use several methods of informal education : acting games, intercultural learning, personal work (Auti-release), sports training, language animation, creative city tour.The project wil be led by two professional theater leaders from France who are also experiences in the field of mediation and exchanges and accompanied by a pedagogue from Poland, a person in charge to follow the process of youth and team, be a supported. In this way, the leaders can exchange and improve their skills that help support their personal development.Possible impact on participating organizations:1. To Increase or construction of international networks and experience in the field of youth mobility.2. To practice and improve their tools in order to propose activities and programs best suited to the needs of people in Europe and elsewhere.3. To increase the visibility and recognition in the field of non-formal education and youth exchanges, with the possibility to request accreditation: youth, popular education or social utility.4. To exchange of experience about youth mobility and between leaders. 5.To Improve the quality of youth work, including strengthening cooperation between youth organizations and / or other organizations. Possible Impact on young peopleThe learning of participatory democracy and active citizenship, autonomy.The work will help participants to gain more awareness of self, on the other, its culture, and European cultural identity. They will learn to think about themselves and the future as part of the group, society, Europe and the world. They will learn about other cultures (connection to cultural diversity), overtake the fear and stereotypes of self and other. This work will allow them to see a themselves in the way more detached,dynamic, in processus , to awaken their responsibility towards the other and the world and to see yourself as someone special with its value by connecting with his own humanity and what is common for people. They will increase the capacity of listening, tolerance, solidarity and sense of citizenship. They can see their important role in the construction of society and a common project and initiate actions. They will learn to calm down and concentrate better and have more cadre in life, increasing the imagination and vision of a positive future.
