Project "Baltic Hipo" is orientated in increasing the number of young people practicing the horse sport in Latvia and Lithuania. This project arose from the general problem in Latvia and Lithuania - young people are not interested in sport activities now especially they are not interested in being in the open air. Because of that a lot of young people have got health problems, they can't attend usual sport lessons. The idea is to interest young people to sport activities. As horses and horse sport was always attractive for people equestrian clubs from Latvia and Lithuania decided to stimulate their activity and attract more young people to horse sport. Project's all partners are working in training young people to ride on horses, organizing different competitions, youth camps, practice Hipo therapy for disabled children. But Project partners from different countries have got different experience that is interesting for one anoher. Exchange of experience will let Project partners to expand their activities and make them more interesting for young people. And partners are not apathetic for disabled children too. They are sure that communication with horses can do miracle things for these children. Project partners will train young people to communicate with horses in such ways: 1. Summer camps for young people will be organized for better knowing neighboring countries and people, nature and animals, especially horses; 2. Theoretical and practical seminars of Hipo therapy will be organized for the transfer of Latvian experience in working with disabled children to Lithuania; 3. Seminars and competitions in Endurance riding will be organized for the bringing a new king of horse sport to Latvia; 4. Jumping competitions will be organized for stimulation of horse sport; 5. Repair of infrastructure and purchase of equipments will be for better conditions to train and competitive. All project partners are non-governmental organizations. Project partners know each other as they have been participated in different international Jumping competitions. They have got different experience in organization of seminars, competitions, camps, so each partner will be responsible for the organization of Project activities in their territory. In the end of this project it is planned to sign the Cooperation agreement between project partners and another Cooperation agreement between studs and disabled children associations for general future activities in Latvia and Lithuania. Expected Results: In the end of the project all partners will sign the cooperation agreement. Accoding it not less as 4 international competitions (2 in Latvia and 2 in Lithuania) a year will be organized and all partners will participate in them. If now for 15 children are training to ride in parners' organization after the project there will be 23-30 children. There will be created cooperation between disabled children and horses clubs for applying the Hipo therapy. 1-2 times a month will be such meetings. Partner 4 will repair the training class block. This training class block will be used for 23 young people that will attend this club. They will learn about the horse, its speciallities, how to behave with it and etc. For children trainings will be bought some equipments that wil be put in this class. Lead Partner and Partner 2 will repair dressing rooms that will be used for change clothers before or after the riding. Young people, trainers and all people that attend these riding clubs will have a possibility to use repaired dressing rooms. It is very necessary for participants of competitions (that will be during the project) too. Information about the project Baltic Hipo will be put and constantly renew in all Project partners' websites, websites of horse riding associations and disabled children associations of Latvia and Lithuania. Total - in 4 Latvian websites and 4 Lithuanian websites. here are planned to organize 2 youth summer camps: 2012 in Latvia, 2013 in Lithuania. In each camp for 5 young people from each partner from 7 till 18 years old that are training to ride in partners' organizations will participate in them. For 1 trainer from each partner will lead young people to the camp and will work with them here. In camps young people will train to ride, organize riding competitions, quizes about horses, prepare presentation for other children about these camps and etc. 4 Jumping and 3 Endurance riding competitions will be organized. 5 competitions will be organized in Lithuania and 2 in Latvia. In each competition 20 participants (10 from Latvia and 10 from Lithuania) will participate from project partners (total: 70 from Latvia and 70 from Lithuania). But in each competition for 20 additional participants will be. 20 young people and 20 adults will compatitive in different tournaments. Total - 110 Latvians and 170 Lithuanians.
