Dignità del Lavoro is a social cooperative (type B), which deals with employment of persons socially disadvantaged (disabled, addicted to alcohol and drugs, prisoners in alternative measure, people at risk, etc.). According to its mission and the orientation of the European Commission with regard to the Social Business Initiative, a crucial issue for the cooperative is the promotion of social entrepreneurship, contributing to the creation of a favourable environment for the development of social business in Italy, and then in Europe, and of the social economy at large. The overall intention of the present mobility project, is to update and further develop key skills and competences in the field of methodological processes techniques in order to manage a social cooperative and promote as well social inclusion of disadvantaged. The project will involve the entire staff of Dignità del Lavoro and also members and shareholders of other partner organizations. The training program to be carried abroad will firstly provide staff training activities undertaken during a theoretical course and then an on the job training/job shadowing experience. During the mobility period abroad that will last 3 weeks, participants will have the opportunity to carry out their activities hosted at foreign organizations where can observe and live in first person a specific working environment. During this time, learners will be able to acquire the different techniques and methodologies that these organizations use to run their business and at the same time to prevent and combat social disadvantages experienced by local people, with particular reference to the methodologies associated with the processes of integration and reintegration in world of work. The last, but not less important aspect is the possibility for the cooperative and its partners, to begin new relations with foreign organizations that can allow the creation of an international network and establish a long-lasting cooperation and exchange of information.
