Date du début: 9 oct. 2014,
Date de fin: 8 mars 2015
Our project named “Training for trainers: Be the change, Bring the change” aimed to provide people who want to become youth trainers with the knowledge, the skills, the experience, and the empowerment to do so. The same applies for people who are already youth trainers and want to upgrade their skills and knowledge to the next level. Participants played a vital role in implementing future seminars, workshops, trainings that are useful to youth in their countries. Additionally, they did not only discover and learned how to develop their training style but also their existing knowledge was brought to the surface to help them realise their training skills. Finally, this project aimed to promote non-formal education, to emphasize on its significant value and to highlight the benefits of anyone taking a step forward in becoming a youth trainer.
In a further perspective, the participants of this training played a crucial role in developing qualitative future projects in the youth field. Since they have acquired the knowledge on what makes youth training successful, they also learned how to proceed with the in writing of new projects according to the needs of the youth.
The outcome of the training course was that youth leaders, youth workers, facilitators and trainers were rendered confident and competent enough to become successful trainers in the youth programmes under Erasmus+ and became multipliers of the knowledge and experience gained.
During the particular training course, participants developed new skills and competences in order to be able to design and implement educational programs in the near future, empowering other young people in their environment with the support of their organizations and local communities.
The target groups of this project included youth leaders, youth workers, facilitators, trainers and people working with young people with fewer opportunities, . The participants aged 19years and upwards were already trainers in the youth field and people who wanted to become such.
The main working methods in this training course were non-formal education and the informal way of learning. These include: ice-breaking games, energizers, workshops, team-building exercises, group dynamics, presentations, peer to peer education, experiential learning, group outdoor educational activities, visits, reflection groups, role-playing, simulations, cooperative learning, field trips, constructed discussions and debates.
