TRAIN PASS – Training for Trainers

The project aims at the integration of trainers into processes of specialised competences development, responding to the continuous changes on national and international level and the professional challenges related to the new situation. The main objectives are the support and development of competences for trainers by development of a European training model, integrating research and analysis, definition of the future VET system sceneries and the creation of modular training courses and curricula. Target groups are the professionals in VET as well as training organisations in Italy and the other partner countries, reacting to the changes in trainers` roles, and moreover, the creation of an European knowledge network. Main activities will be the analysis of training and professional needs, the creation of a common language concerning the instruments for assessment of qualifications, improvement of transparency and self-evaluation instruments. Furthermore, the definition of the new areas of specialized competences and quality criteria will be elaborated in the course of the project. Planned results are (most of them in EN and on website and print) : (1) a Research report (containing the analysis of the scenario, and for the instruments needed for evaluation of competences, methodology, etc.), (2) A map of the competences in relation to the new demands, (3) online analysis of competences for self-evaluation, (4) Report on the analysis of the training needs, (5) a training package for ODL (also in IT), (6) an empirical protocol for the identification of the training needs, and (7) a website for the dissemination of the results and communication/work with the partnership. The valorisation strategy is based on the website, conferences and meetings, CDRom, print media and other PR instruments, using the networks of the partnership. The targeted impact will work on various levels: for the trainers there will be an improvement of competences in the special sectors, training organisations will gain an instrument for analysing and evaluating good practice cases. The standards of the different VET systems will be raised and equalised.
