The gradual opening of the Hungarian- Serbian border can have disadvantages, but also gives a chance for the craftsmen who live there. We would like to achieve that they become the winner of this process. We would to develop a model, which can be used in other multicultural environments as well. Planned activities of the project:Ø making a survey and a database about the active craftsmen and qualification areas;Ø strategic foundation and elaboration the of a development model;Ø establishment of a collective product development program which reaches over the borders;Ø transaction of marketing processes;Ø propagation of the model. Most of the craftsmen are not able to get their products on the market. As a result of this project:Ø We will give a clear picture of the craftsmen who work in the region along the border;Ø We will start to develop a network with common image;Ø Within the network experiences will be shared, and the methods will be taken over;Ø Within the network new project ideas will be developed;Ø The strategy of getting the products to the market will be established, and the system of the product marketing will be launched;Ø With the help of propagation of the traditional professions the capacity of manpower will increase, new workplaces will be established. Achievements: The partners prepared a database of the craftsmen in the area. Both databases are uploaded onto the organisations websites. Beside the contact information of the craftsmen, the databases contain photos of their products as well. As a part of the strategic planning of the project, three studies/ strategies/guidelines were prepared: the product development and marketing strategy, the network buildingstrategy and the publicity guidelines aiming to assist the craftsmen. A PR film was made and broadcasted in both Serbia and Hungary.
