Project Title: Top Nursing Skills Parteners: Scoala Postliceala Sanitara Piatra-Neamt, Romania - beneficiary San Rafael Hospital, member of Orden Hospitalaria de San Juan de Dios - Centro Colegio de Educacion Especial "San Rafael", Granada, host organization Europroyectos Leonardo da Vinci, Granada, Spania, intermediary organizationA number of 28 3rd year students, Medical assistant - general care qualification, form the Piatra-Neamt Sanitary Post Secondary School will benefit, through this project form a 5 weeks long practical training experience in San Rafael Hospital from Granada, Spain.The training placement will primarily focus on students` competencies in the fields of neurology and specific nursing techniques, gerontology, geriatrics and specific nursing and quality assurance. Moreover, the participants will also develop their professional communication competencies in Spanish and English languages, and also their inter-cultural and team-work competencies.The practical activities will take place under the surveillance and with the support of the specialized personnel from the hospital, which will also assess the students` performance, and competencies gained will be validated and recognized by using the ECVET and Europass EU-wide recognized instruments.By this project, the Sanitary Post Secondary School from Piatra-Neamt aims to tackle more needs, such as the adaptation of the educational offer to the demands and offers existing in the medical system at local and regional level, providing practical training at EU standards and attractive activities to reduce absenteeism and drop-outs.The equality of opportunities is encouraged, as a significant part of the school population is living in rural areas, the young people being confronted to financial ad social difficult situations and lack of opportunities. By taking part to this project, their employability chances will be significantly increased.The impact and positive results will manifest not only at the level of the participants, but also at the level of the medical units from the region, the final beneficiaries being the patients.As this is the first Erasmus+ experience of the sending institution, the project will be an opportunity for Scoala Postliceala Sanitara Piatra Neamt of gainig relevant experience in the field of international project management, which is significantly different from the management of local or national projects.It is expected that the formal framework offered by the Memoranda of Understanding to represent a first step through a long-term cooperation with San Rafael Hospital and Orden Hospitalaria de San Juan de Dios.
