Toihaus Theatre in Salzburg regularely organises workshops and seminars in the frame of its cultural-educational work. These workshops are lead by artists. The aims of these activities are the personal development and activating of the audience as well as fostering its abilities for creative cultural participation with the unconventional theatre making of Toihaus. The educational programme within the evening programme for adults since several years plays an increasing role. Three dancers of the ensemble are the core group of the seminar leaders for adults, each of them has a different profile and focus. Ceren Oran ist the first certificated professional soundpainter in Austria and has started new workshops for families, for adults of different ages and their children. Soundpainting is a sign language, which 30 years ago was developed by Walter Thompson. Without using words the soundpainter helps to increase creative minds and personal expressive possibilities of people. Ceren Oran will visit the international Soundpainting Think Tank in Spain with improvement of the Soundpainting sign language under the direction of Walter Thompson. Pascale Staudenbauer has started a successfull Modern Dance Course for people of different professional background. She developed new combinations with Yoga and Spiraldynamik. She will visit a workshop of external guest teachers in the Henny Jurriëns Foundation in Amsterdam, to improve her technics and the implementation of other disciplines of body work. Katharina Schrott combines in her adult workshops dance/movement with scenical improvisation, music and visual arts. The topics and ideas have a big variety. She will visit a further education in the TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA in Munic. This is a labor for new conceptions and ideas in the field of performative work, which also is open to amateurs. Katharina Schrott will implement these new thematical impulses and new technics into her adult workshops in Salzburg.
