Creating a collaboration to overcome the void between the for-profit and non-profit sectors is a great challenge in both Hungary and in Serbia. This project aims at forming a cross sector cooperation, along with adding the cross-border element by bringing together companies and organisation from both countries with little traditions of CSR activities. This great challenge will be realised by both cross-border and cross-sector meetings, conferences, and CSR activities that take on social issues of local NGOs. The main target groups of the project are local companies in the South Great Plains Region of Hungary and Vojvodina, Serbia and also non-profit organisations, employees of the companies and NGOs and clients of the organisations. Project activities are formed and scheduled in a way that helps the inclusion of the most possible participants from these groups, as well as the broadest publicity, so that the project has a long-lasting effect and remains sustainable for years. Each partner – planning, implementing and financing the project together - will organise 3 cross-sector forums that serves as preparation for 2 cross-sector/cross-border conferences in both regions. The first conferences will be followed by 12 CSR activities. This sequence of activities enabled actors from both sector to familiarize themselves with those from the other sector, creating a more effective cooperation, and therefore improving the quality of the CSR activities. Furthermore the project aims at grounding a strong base for future CSR programmes and we have a lasting effect on the attitude of local companies toward social issues that NGOs are working on. The cross-border aspect of the project will strengthen relationship between companies, organisations, and people across the border, aiding the development and well-being of the Danube - Kris - Mures - Tisza Euroregion and the people living there. Achievements: Establishing collaboration to overcome the gap between the for-profit and non-profit sectors is a great challenge both in Hungary and Serbia. This project aimed to form cross-sectoral cooperation with an added cross-border element by bringing together companies and organisations from both countries with tradition of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. The main target groups of the project were local companies in the South Great Plain region of Hungary and Vojvodina in Serbia, as well as non-profit organisations, company employees and NGOs and clients of these organisations. Each partner organised 3-3 cross-sector forums and 1-1 cross-sector/cross-border conference in both regions. The first conference was followed by 12 CSR activities. This sequence of activities enabled actors from both sectors to familiarise themselves with the actors from the other sector, creating more effective cooperation, and therefore improving the quality of CSR activities. The partners collected and presented these very simple, but deeply human activities in an attractive bilingual booklet.
