Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

City Keeltekool has been involved in the field of language teaching since 2011. It is possible to learn 12 different languages at our school. In 2012 we have become a partner of the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Agency (Töötukassa). In addition to the general language lessons we offer also work-related language trainings. There are both Estonian and Russian students in our school, but in the recent years we meet a lot of foreigners who need to learn the Estonian language to be competitive in the job market. Since 2015 there are more and more people outside Europe including (Jordan, Turkey, Egypt or other African countries). For the first time we have some clients of the Unemployment Insurance Agency who are not able to learn Estonian based on English and who have never learned any grammar. The aim of our project is to improve our teaching methods (interactive methods), learn from our partner schools´experience of dealing with people from different cultural background and develop a web-based language learning platform. Project participants are teachers of our language school. The first participant is the Founder and the Head of the school who is also a Norwegian and Swedish teacher for Estonians and Estonian teacher for foreigners. The second participant and the project manager is a German, English and Estonian language teacher. The third participant is a Finnish and Estonian teacher has been teaching for years Business Finnish for Estonians and foreigners. There are 3 partner schools involved in our project, 2 in Norway and 1 in Germany. In cooperation with our partners we plan to do the following:- Find out new ways to teach students from different cultural background-Find partners to develop a project idea towards a future KA2 project creating a web-based language learning platform and changing our teaching methods more attractive; -Learn about the virtual classroom and online phonetic practice in German partner school and to implement this idea in our language school to enable courses for more people-Learn a new approach to teach business language courses and to improve the school curriculum with the help of international projectWe are planning to use project outcomes in our classroom. As a result of the project our teaching methods will be more interactive and effective which will be supported by the future language learning web-platform for independent language practice. Although we have already now good cooperation with the Unemployment Insurance Agency, this particular project will help us to improve our collaboration even more to guarantee the quality of language courses based on clients´needs. We believe that the project will help us to teach languages more effectively and to integrate refugees into our society and job market.
