Date du début: 15 oct. 2015, Date de fin: 14 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project was about in-service training of teachers in our school and aimed to upgrade our educational paradigm. It consisted of two training activities: The first included a structured visit in Spanish schools and relevant updating. Spain is an important country in European South. Although it has faced the consequences of financial crisis, it still boasts a notable educational system, which makes the most of ICT in education. During visits participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with different facets and elements of the Spanish educational system, to discuss extensively with educators, school advisors and education executives and to transfer back to our school knowledge and experience acquired. A special focus was placed on ways to apply ICT, an issue also related to the second training activity. A parallel objective was to use contact with other participants in the training activity to set bases for future cooperation of the school with other European schools. The second training activity took place in Italy and included systematic familiarization with the framework of electronic learning. It consisted of intensive lessons, which focused on ways to applying ICT in the teaching/learning process, on becoming aware of current trends on the internet, of designing e-lessons and e-lessons on the moodle platform. After the activity the participant used existing structures of the Panhellenic School Network (after asking for suitable managing rights) and created an e-lessons site on behalf of our school. During this phase knowledge and experience acquired during the first training activity was certainly applied. Creating a site offering e-lessons is considered to add greatly in the modernization and extroversion of our school, while it might also reduce early school leaving. Teachers who participated in the training activities work permanently in the school, have certified knowledge of working language (English), are certified to use ICT, show high interest in learning and in incorporating new elements in school life. The number of participants were three teachers of various specialties for each activity, so that impact is maximized. Each activity was held by a different training body. In order to ensure the success of training activities, both intermediate and final descriptive evaluation was asked. After completing each activity, participants gave descriptive reports, in which benefits, knowledge and experiences acquired were presented. These reports were addressed to the head teacher and other school teachers and formed the basis for the final evaluation of the project. Acquired knowledge and experiences were shared with other teaching staff, school advisors were informed and so were the school supervisor and regional educational authorities. The school site was enriched with material (photos, texts, educational material) produced during the training activities. In the e-lessons site in the moodle platform all relative material was incorporated and a questionnaire detecting change in teacher and student attitudes. Relevant material will also be used during next phase of b-level ICT training. Finally, training activities and the creation of the e-lessons site were advertised with the local media. We believe that after the training activities our school is in a position to use elements and experience of other educational systems, mainly the Spanish one, to modernize and renew methods, approaches and means used in the teaching process. We have also created a site of offering e-lessons, applying elements from other educational systems and showing an extrovert nature. Acquired experience and e-structures created will be also of use in future activities.
