The applicant institution, Secondary Maritime School in Gdańsk, is planning to implement and realize TLS connecting people project in Italy. This project comprises a group of 20 pupils 17, 18, 19 years old, who are being educated in the profession of logistic technician, forwarder technician, ports operation technician as well as four teachers of this school. YouNet in Bologna are partners in this project. The recipient institution deals with education and professional development of pupils, students and educating staff from various countries. Pupils who will join in project will be elected based on clear standards, which were elaborated by a group of teachers and the management. Participants will take part in four weeks work training in TLS trade companies, accordant with program made by YouNet, including the needs and expectations of the participants. This program will be correlated with education program for logistic technician, forwarder technician, ports operation technician, so that pupils could meet the requirements of MEN’s Program Basic. Prior to apprenticeship, participants will be prepared by teachers with respect to psychology, culture and language, within the probation time. Special attention will be paid to the preparation of youth in multicultural Bologna, professional training in the international work environment and proper psychological preparation for monthly stay in a big metropolis. YouNet organize professional training in several Italian companies related with TLS trade, accommodation, public transport and airport transfers. During apprenticeship pupils will be supervised and looked after by teachers form Secondary Maritime School in Gdańsk. Experienced workers from recipient institution YouNet will ensure progress monitoring of all participants. Pupils during stay in Bologna will get to know tourist attractions of a city and have a chance for interactive participation in multicultural environment, city, where people live and meet others from around the world. Apprenticeship in Bologna companies, where workers from around the world are employed, enable pupils to achieve competencies not only strictly professional, but also cultural, personal and practical. The need to use foreign language at and after work will elevate communication abilities, which considering increased popularity of Poland among foreign tourists, can make a serious asset in the employment market in future. After completion of the training and return to Poland the ECVET procedure will be implemented. Participants will receive Europass-Mobility certificate. Project results will be spread in school, local and internal environment (website, publications in journals, conferences) It is assumed to achieve the following objects of the project:- Obtain high European competence and work abilities in TLS trade;- Obtain better perspective for employment and better adaptation to dynamic development of work environment also international environment;- Improvement of work quality of staff responsible for work training;- Knowledge improvement of foreign languages;- Increase of multicultural awareness and European values;- Knowledge increase of opportunities, which European projects give and motivation to get into further projects.- Increase of motivation for learning and future development, self-confidence, self-learning for whole life;- Increase of occupational mobility;- Meeting historical facts, cultural and tourist attractions of Bologna metropolisProject realization will contribute to the improvement of innovation and internationalization of school activity – that is the applicant institution. Project will certainly develop international work mobility and educating staff mobility and will also contribute to whole life learning.
