“Calibration Applications in Medical imaging Equipment” Our project is an VET learner and staff mobility project which is targeted the students of the consortium consisting of Canik Technical and Industrial Vocational High School in Canik, Keçiören Technical and Industrial Vocational High School in Istanbul and Çukurova Chemical Technical and Industrial Vocational High School in Manisa. Total 45 Students beneficiaries will be selected among over 300 students who are studying initial vocational training at the consortium schools. Our Project is oriented to the 11th and 12th grade students still educating on Biomedical Instruments Technology Fields in our schools. Electronics and informative fields find large area of application on the modern medical devices. Also in our country the utilization of new electronic biomedical devices in medical equipments gradually are becoming widespread. Despite improving medical equipments in our country, there is a lack of qualified personnel sufficiently educated on these fields. Periodically conducted quality and calibration adjustments of the medical devices complicated with electronic apparatus are the vital parameters of the medical activities. With the foundation of Biomedical Instruments Technology Field in our schools to meet the technical personnel needs in medical sector became one of the institutions providing applied vocational training on this field. The functions of medical devices product of advanced technology should be documented within tolerances described by EU standards. The calibration activities should be implemented connoting the evidence of reliance to the medical device functions. By our Project; our students are aimed to be more qualified technical personnel and to gain experience on not only maintenance and repair services but also calibration-adjustments in the private or official institutions the will work. Our school students with 3 groups from 3 different schools and teachers to work on these subjects shall gain substantial experiences by on Calibration Applications in Medical imaging Equipment for 3 weeks in 3 EU country Portuguese, Romania and Germany during 2015 February.
