The main principle of the project was passing of the experience in the field of thematic villages to the Lithuanian partner by the Polish partner. The partners organised exchange visits to each others thematic villages for the leaders of village communities of their regions. Using the experience of Szemud community, the Varena district municipality administration started establishing the Cheese village in Darguziai, the M. K. Ciurlionis (famous Lithuanian painter and composer) village in Senoji Varena and the V. Mickevicius-Kreve (famous Lithuanian writer) village in Subartonys. A book on thematic villages in Poland and Lithuania was published.The project was selected the Most Popular Project of the Neighbourhood programme in 2007!
