Venue of TC 'Theatre as tool for social development' is Malmö, planned dates were from 12 July up to 21 July, partner countries: Sweden, France, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Malta, Poland, Portugal and Turkey. In total 33 participants from 10 countries Project description: By introducing theatre and drama method to a group of children excluded from school who suffered from low self-esteem and behavioural problems, we succeeded in bringing a much-needed sense of pride and self-confidence in their abilities.- Cathy Woolley - Outreach and Community Involvement Officer, Historic Royal Palaces Drama and Theatre has significant implications in inclusion and in learning, although it still searches for its place in school’s everyday life. Participants through Drama and Theatre learned to cooperate and not to compete with each other, to approach knowledge via experiential learning, with emotional involvement, to solve problems, to take decisions, to acquire empathy, and to recognize otherness. Our training aimed to provide youth workers with compentencis on how to use theater and drama tehnic in their work. Participants, youth workers and youth leaders had build and improve their knowledge on use of drama and theatre in their everyday work as a means for youth inclusion. They had also developed skills for creation of new projects within local and international programs. Effective inclusion of youth in the process of building a modern European society based on tolerance, solidarity, equal chances and respect for differences. All partners agreed that this project will folow next objectives: - Promoting comunity drama and theatre methods in youth work - Developing the participants skills and knowlwdge related to practical use of drama and theatre - Developing participants creative skills through drama and theatre - Enciuranging greater participatio of participants in social life throught theatre-related activities - Fostering the sense of European citizenship among people in the Europe - Mainstreaming community drama and theatre methodology to the priorities and objectives of the Erasmus plus - To train group of youth workers from different countries and give them the capacity to use drama and theater as tool in inclusion of youth at risk and youth with fewer opportunities, as well as developing of skills in promotion and launching of new quality projects, both under the framework of the Erasmus plus and in the local level. - To raise awareness on the differences of situation as far problem of poverty (risks from sexually transmitted diseases, alcoholism and drug use, discrimination and peer and family violence…) and the possibilities of improvement of temporary condition and of the future perspectives. - To improve and to contribute to a high quality implementation in Erasmus plus projects. - To give to the participants tool for transferring of knowledge and experience acquired during the training at local level, in order to involve and aware the young people they are working with in their local environment. - To enforce old and establish new international partnerships in order to develop new projects under framework of Erasmus plus and continue with using of this opportunity for inclusion of young people in active participation in creation of sustainable Europe. - To promote and develop European citizenship - To idenify common elements of their lives and cultures in relation to the other participants through leisure time activities and discussions. - To enable the group to reflect on their own and others’ characteristics, and share these in a supportive environment. Linked with the European of combating poverty and social exclusion is direct and strong: predominant causes of poverty and marginalization, such as exclusion from the society (schooling and employment) due to effects of sexual diseases, alcoholism and drug use, family and peer violence, will be gradually introduced as themes during the trainings and played with in drama reflex ions by all participants. In this way, by doing, they had achieved maximum in the learning process and at the same time developed youth workers skills for using drama as a method for effective communication with youth. The training was based on practical work. The work had involved theatre workshop, physical work, performance, movement work, team building, training and other theatrical methods. The work was primarily be creative, self reflective, collaborative, and intensive, largely movement and physical based. The final product of the training course was to have a performance in the city with the aim of practicing what we've learned and preparing products that participants can later implement in their city with a strong a message of importance of social inclusion.
