The world we want: young people's participation in the post-MDG debate

The project aims at promoting cooperation in the youth field between European and developing countries through the following objectives (in line with the objectives of this call):β To inform and foster meaningful and active participation of 437 young people in 12 countries and2,000 globally through online consultation, tested through empowering them to have their voicesheard in national and global post-MDG debates. β To promote cooperation and partnerships youth organisations in Europe and developing countriesthrough piloting and building capacity towards a network-based approach to generating youthparticipation in policy-making.~~5 lo сотп1Ш1ШШ1те^1тар1г!дт^а!то5Ш©^ The uruÍHct contributes-te-aH-Youth in Action permanent priorities and to the-annual priorities of youthunemployment, poverty and marginalisation, and spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship, employability.The headline activities foreseen (described in detail in Section IV.C Work Programme below) will include: » Development of youth consultation toolkit led by the project lead with input from young people andyouth-led partners β Capacity building of youth-led partners and young people on youth consultation toolkit, andimplementation of youth consultation workshops β Production of creative media (photo and video interviews, case studies, documentaries) by youngpeople involved in the consultation ® Development of dissemination toolkit β Collation of consultation data and analysis through a youth-led workshop bringing together youngpeople who led the consultation in each region β Creation of report on young people's views on post MDG agenda and launch eventThese activities will be hosted in venues already familiar to the organisations, and involve 437 young participants from 12 countries and 2,000 globally through online consultationThe outputs of the project will be: (1) consultation toolkit (including a common workshop agenda, facilitators notes, session plans, fact sheets); (2) Creative media pieces realised by young people (online videos, blogs & press articles); (3) Report on young people's views on post MDG agenda; (4) Network-wide dissemination toolkit; (5) Evaluation report of network-wide consultations. Their dissemination will be integral to this project, guided by a dissemination toolkit based on a media and an advocacy component, and led by young people (through dissemination of media pieces) and youth-led organisations (through advocacy based on the report).
