The Open Doors Of Europe

The new and larger European Union has led to dynamic changes in the area of migration. This means new educational, professional and cultural challenges for many. The activities within this project are intended to explore how well our students are equipped to become active European citizens and - most importantly - help them acquire the necessary skills for this process. It is worth emphasizing that the participating schools are from countries which have been experiencing strong trends of emigration and/or immigration. The project address a young person as a learner, a future worker, a representative of his national/regional identity and a world citizen. The activities within the project aim to guide our students to become successful learners, confident speakers of foreign languages, competent and creative members of different social groups and active citizens aware of their rights. The project shall also introduce our students to the world of work - the workshops involved encourage our pupils to define themselves professionally within the future employment market in Europe. In parallel to improving our students’ skills to adapt in a new cultural environment, the project also incorporates studies of the students’ own national and regional heritage. All nationalities engaged in the project can present their national character.Among the measures to accompany the project is systematic presentation and exchange of teaching practice and strategies to create new methods of work with our students
