We will be sending Danish high school students from the department for business studies at Campus Vejle to UK and Spain. The students are between 18 and 20 years old and they all attend language classes at the highest level. All students are studying marketing and economics at various levels. Many of them will also be part of the talent program at Campus Vejle and the study and work placement abroad will support their learning skills regarding this program. In the foreign countries they will attend classes in the local language as well as cooperate with local students. The content of the classes will be organized according to a plan made by Campus Vejle and he international partner. They will further more be working in English and Spanish companies to learn about the local way of doing business and making marketing. We will also send staff members from the business studies at Campus Vejle to UK and Spain. The group will consist of teachers and administrative staff wanting to enhance their international, organizational, intercultural and linguistic skills in order to support the further development of the international strategy at the campus. The activities will be either a work placement or a job shadowing in a company or another business school. We aim to give our students the best opportunities to enhance their English and Spanish as well as their intercultural understanding. In addition, we find it very important that especially students and staff members from a business school get to experience life in an English and Spanish company to get a better commercial and intercultural understanding. These experiences will improve the student´s knowledge and will strengthen their abilities to - and prepare them for - a future work experience all across EU borders. Furthermore, the student´s knowledge will improve at the possibility of functioning in an international work environment which will hopefully be part of their future work life. It is our goal to strengthen the international environment for the educations and to increase the student´s and staff´s knowledge of the different options of working internationally. It is expected that the students become more open for the possibilities regarding working in another country, and that their tolerance for other nationalities and opinions increases considerably. We expect that the combination of study and placement will enhance the academic level as well as the exchange of experience with the locals. The staff members will able to enhance their international understanding and hereby support the internationalization of the subjects at the institute as well as the ongoing development of the international strategy.
