TERMINÉ
The overall objective of the project is to contribute towards the improvement of the environmental situation of Šešupė river basin through strengthening of the fire safety of the areas on both sides of the Lithuania-Russian border and reinforcement of rescue service cohesion. Achievements: 1. The time of fire guards arrivals at fire accidents reduced (it is estimated that in 90% of all cases the arrival at the conflagration should not exceed 15 minutes); 2. The fire extinction in the Lithuania-Kaliningrad region border area quickened through the use of improved fire-fighting infrastructure (it is estimated that in 65% of cases fire extinguishing will be completed within 30 minutes).
