"The Future of Education - Chalkboards and Gamification in a Digital Society"
Date du début: 1 oct. 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Individual Learning Mobility plan drawn up by the 11th Elementary School of Kalamata, of the Education Office of Messinia prefecture in south Greece, which will submit the present application titled "The Future of Education- Chalkboards and Gamification in a Digital Society" concerns the participation of educators from the above mentioned school in a training activity regarding the acquisition, pedagogical exploitation as well as the exchange of good practices in relation to new digital tools (serious games, web 2.0 tools) already implemented in European schools. The learning plan will be put into effect, if approved by the National Agency, for one year (2014 - 2015) and will comprise one mobility on the part of the selected group of educators to the host organization (Hedmark University College) in the region of Hamar, Norway. Towards the completion of the plan, the participating educators will inform their colleagues via in-service trainings as well as through co-operation with the participators of the existing national distance learning training program titled "Digital Foreign Language (FL) Class in Practice". Moreover, final dissemination and assessment of the results of the learning mobility plan under discussion will take place. A team of 15 educators who teach in several schools of the Primary Education Office of Messinia prefecture is going to implement the plan. This team is expected to receive a strong incentive in order to use ICT as daily class practice so as to become capable of bridging the existing skills gap (as evidenced in European Commission research) between the theory of ICT teaching and the students' as future European citizens' educational needs. In addition, there is expectation of a great benefit for the participating educators regarding their realization of the demand for linguistic skills adequacy which will allow them to travel to other European countries for the fulfillment of their professional as well as personal goals. What is more, the learning plan in question will reinforce the European dimension of Education in the sense of the exchange of good practices aiming at the improvement of the quality of Education. The impact of the plan is expected to be huge for the involved target groups (educators, students and their families, local community) since, with the ICT implementation, teaching procedures will be essentially enhanced. The incentive for the participation of greater numbers of educators in the "Digital Foreign Language (FL) Class in Practice" training scheme which, via teacher networking in Norway, is likely to develop into a permanent teacher training program under the distance learning mode can be considered as a long term impact of the plan. Finally, the educators will be introduced into collaborative learning approaches in order to be able to equip their students with the renowned 21st century skills namely, communication, team work, problem-solving, collaboration, creativity and innovation which they will have received as essential qualification by the time they graduate.
