"Defining Decade - Invest In Your Identity Capital" (Action KA1), a youth exchange organised by Positive Impact Center, will be held in Jastarnia, Poland, in July 2015. It will bring together 24 young people, who are actively looking for jobs or are underemployed, from 4 countries: Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic and Italy. The goal of the project is congruent with EU's strategy to fight the alarmingly high level of unemployment among young people and to minimize the chances of social exclusion. The program would also engage participants in intercultural dialogue, enabling them to develop a network of contacts. It would constitute a base that could further facilitate combating the unfavorable conditions of the job market and streamline social inclusion. The project would contribute to enhancing the level of key competences and skills of young people (including those with fewer opportunities) such as presentation skills, teamwork and negotiations, increasing competitiveness on the labour market, supporting intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, creating mobility opportunities for young people and providing area to improve foreign language skills. We will make sure that the program involves active participation of both participants and partner organizations throughout the project implementation. For the duration of the youth exchange, participants will jointly implement the program by using interactive methods such as discussions, group work, presentations and workshops. The whole process of learning will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and modified according to the needs and adapted to the profile of participants in order to ensure the best possible results. By providing necessary tools we will ensure the recognition and validation of acquired and developed skills and competences. The project is expected to benefit also the participating organizations. By enhancing international dimension, including cooperation with partner organizations, we will foster quality improvements in our future projects for better response to the needs of youth. We will have a chance to reinforce the cooperation by creating a network that will allow international exchange of good practices. The project is planned with a view to achieve multiplier effect and in order to make an impact we will spread the project objectives and results by setting up promotional tools. We will create an approach to solve a problem of youth unemployment and build a platform (Facebook group) to facilitate sharing best practices and opportunities found online as well as to encourage international exchange of a wide range of prospective initiatives.
