The Course “Cultural policies of the European Union: Problem of Cultural Identity and Multiculturalism” is designed by the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies of Northern (Arctic) Federal University.On the base of the course implementation a textbook for humanitarian students of the university “Cultural policies of the European Union: Problem of Cultural Identity and Multiculturalism" will be created. All the results of student research works and their projects will be also published. Academic key staff members will publish articles dedicated to the main issues of cultural policies of the European Union and teaching methodologies of the European Union. All of these will be a strong platform for future development of cultural studies of the European Union in NArFUActivitiesThe Course is interdisciplinary in nature in order to give students a more complete and unified picture of cultural policies in the European Union. It is designed for bachelors in cultural studies, arts, intelligent systems, sociology, journalism. The course provides lectures, seminars, roundtables, intensive trainings and various workshops. The implementation of the Course also includes student conference where they can present results of their research works and projects on the issues of cultural policies of the European Union.Content of the courseThe course includes three parts:Part 1.Integration experience of the European Union. Part 2.Cultural Policies in the European Union. Part 3. Multiculturalism in the European Union.
