Internationalization is an important part of our school culture, as you can see in the great amount of partnerships with international partners. According to a parliamentary recommendation up to 10% of all VET students should participate in mobility activities for learners. Our aim is to increase the amount of mobilities of learners.At the moment only a few teachers are engaged in our mobility activities, so their workload is high and their health may be harmed in the long run. To increase the amont of mobilities we have to include more teachers in our international projects. In the first step teachers need advanced intercultural und language skills to enable them to organize und perform these mobilities successfully and to maintain our international partnerships.Many of these teachers have no Fakultas in English and avoid to communicate with partners via phone and e-mail, or hold presentations in English. Moreover, intercultural competence has never been part of their teacher training. They therefore participate in the training courses at the language school in Malta (ETI Malta).We would like to offer an Englisch language course, which is based on the following courses:- Professional Communication Skills (socialising skills, being effective in meetings, intercultural skills, communication by Email, effective telephoning, ... )- Intercultural and Communication Skills (theories and approaches to intercultural communication, intercultural competence models, sucessful communication across cultures, ... )Additionally every teacher has to join a special course with a different content to improve his or her knowledge. There will be four special courses for the members of the school management, for teachers in wicker worker classes, for advanced English speakers and for teacher who need to improve their intercultural skills.Therefore we can offer a wide range of topics. These topics will add up a collection of methods. Our teachers have to teach colleagues from the other courses respectively the teachers, who can not join the offered training courses. Moreover our teachers are going to reach a great qualification in a short time. New colleagues can use the collection of methods, which will enable them to join and qualificate for our international projects in a very short time.
