The project aims at creating educational materials that would document successful utilisation of wood and timber in the construction industry, more specifically in the field of design and assessment of supporting members and structures of timber structures. The project will develop the curricula of training courses dealing with testing of wood and wood based materials for construction purposes. The final product will include an Instruction handbook for lectures, two handbooks and sets of practical examples (10 case studies illustrating the successful use of timber in construction) to be made available in English and the national languages of all partners. A database of timber structures and timber-based constructions will be created to be made available on the project's website that will serve as learning and teaching tool for students and lecturers. The target groups are students in Civil Engineering, as well as members of professional chambers.
