Our project started with hardships of integrating technology into English lessons effectively that our English Teacher mentioned not only in our instutition’s monthly meetings but also one-to-one conversations. Although our institution seems more successful and improvable due to limited number of students and better facilities, it has problems of competition with the schools located at the center of the city. Especially taking into account of that the schools located at the center of the city use technology proficiently, our school regards developing itself in this as necessary. Although technological opportunities have arrived our school in the recent years within the scope of Fatih Project of The Ministry of National Education, we can’t turn these into an advantage in terms of using technology in English lessons to make it more visual, interesting, effective and efficient; because our English teacher feels himself incapable of it. As the basic objective of our project, we determined to make English lessons more motivating, visual, interesting, effective and efficient by integrating technology into English lesson within the scope of educational technology extended by Fatih Project. The seminar that our English teacher is going to arrange in our school after he returns from the course, notifications about the course on the school board he is going to post, sharings on the school’s official web site and on the blog which is to be prepared in the name of the course, one-to-one exercises with other teachers in our school, and that our students will learn using technology in the classroom are other objectives. There is one participant in our project. This personnel is our English Teacher, Bülent Dönmez. Not only in our instutition’s monthly meetings but also one-to-one conversations, he told us that he wants to use technology in his lessons effectively, but feels incapable of integrating technology into his lessons. We made our decision about choosing the right personnel for this project by considering that our English Teacher who has been abroad many times; is making master with thesis on Curriculum and Instruction; has produced a few academic publishings; and is capable of English Language, English Teaching, and pedagogical knowledge will contribute a lot to our institution after he improves himself about educational technology. Firstly, our institution made SWOT analysis. Then, we contacted with a course which is in accordance with the needs of our institution. In the next phase, the impact of the course and institutional professionalization plan will be discussed. In the preparation phase; the content of the course, the methods which will be used during the course, pre-tasks that course organizer will send us will be talked over. The knowledge attained in the course will be followed up; the contact with the course organizer and other participant will be continued. This communication will be held by e-communication platforms. After the course, all the knowledge our teacher will learn in the course during the course will be disseminated through seminars which is to be held in our institution and Provincial Directorate for National Education. The results of the course will be evaluated by the teachers and the administration of our institution. The participant will be followed through a portfolio during the course. In this way, the participant will continuously be evaluated by himself. Socio-constructivist methods leading to active participation will be applied during the course. Follow-up activities planned to be made after the course will make he course more effective. The participant will integrate educational technology into English lessons effectively after he gets training in the course. After the participant gives seminar about the course, and the applications in his lessons in our institution, other teachers and the principal will be able to use educational technology effectively becoming indispensable that Ministry of National Education implemented within the scope of Fatih Project in all schools. Besides, the course will broaden our the partipant’s horizon; will help him improve himself about international cooperation, communication and multiculturalism. All the knowledge, skills, experiences, works to be done, projects to produced, trainings to be provided will put a positive effect on educational quality of the institution.
