technIQa
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 30 nov. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The “technIQa” project has been planned in accord with the development strategy of our school. Namely because we wish to increase our students’ subject-specific skills through an innovative form of practical training and give the students the opportunity to gain work experience abroad. The project will also enable our students to acquire such technical skills which we cannot provide them with during their vocational training at our school. The students who will succeed in the selection process will participate in the project. We wish to give this opportunity to the best, talented students, who show a real interest in their area of study. Students of the second, third and fourth year of study will be able to apply. The project will consist of 5 cycles. 2 are to take place in Germany, and 3 in Finland. Both students learning English and those learning German will have the opportunity to attain work experience abroad. Overall, 44 students – specializing in electrical engineering, automation, and IT – should participate. The project will commence on 1 September 2016 and conclude on 30 November 2017. The main objective is to ensure the students gain new vocational skills and competences by fulfilling assigned tasks. Other objectives include the development of the language skills of the project participants, their personal development, the development of their intercultural awareness, as well as their gaining their first work experience. In order to ensure proper management of the project we have put together a project team. Its members have clearly determined roles and tasks they are responsible for. We will sign individual contracts both with our partner and the students, where the content of the project and the mutual responsibilities will be defined. With the help of monitoring, a clearly defined programme, and the contracts securing the project, the project risks will be minimized. Prior to their departure, the students will be required to participate in several preparatory activities designed to ensure the success of their work experience abroad. The project will result in 44 student mobilities, which will be certified by the Europass Mobility certificate. This will give the participants of the “technIQa” project a significant competitive advantage upon their entering the job market, whether in the Ústní nad Labem region, or anywhere else within the EU. In the Europass Mobility certificate the employers will have a clear evidence of the students’ skills and competences. The “technIQa” project will have a positive impact on the economy in our region, owing to the increased employability of students who will have completed the internship. By implementing the project we will also boost the interest of children in technical education, which is vital for the entire Czech economy, and show the adults that this field of study has much to offer. Thanks to the project, 44 of our students will acquire new vocational skills and competences, and broaden their horizons. Our school will improve its image as a successful implementer of international mobility projects. We will also increase the level of cooperation with our partner organizations in the project, with whom we would like to cooperate in the future on other mobility projects focusing both on the students and the teachers. The participants of the “technIQa” project, who will be sent to complete their internships in Finland and Germany, will also be the representatives of vocational education in the Czech Republic there. Therefore the project will also contribute – if only marginally – to the development of international cooperation with Germany and Finland. Last but not least, the project will contribute to the fulfilment of the Erasmus+ Programme goals for Key Action 1.
