Teatras mokyme (Drama in Education)
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Objectives of the project "Drama in Education": 1. Promoting drama in education as a tool for encouraging participation and bringing learning to life; 2. Enhancing understanding of the potential drama has in education and opportunities it provides; 3. Development of basic and transversal skills such as leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution, communication, etc.; 4. Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for successful implementation and assessment of drama in education in different school settings; 5. Improvement in use of English; 6. Promoting intercultural awareness and future partnerships and projects; 7. Sharing experiences. The methodologies used are storytelling, process drama, forum theatre and rainbow of desires (Theatre of the Oppressed - Boal's method), action learning, mutual learning, based on the total involvement of all participants. Objectives will be carried out through several activities such as short lessons, experience comparisons, theatre exercises, improvisations, group works and discussions, which will allow participants both to learn and to bring their experiences in this event. We’ll try to answer together: “What is the role of drama in education?”, “What are the competences a teacher should have?”, “How can we use drama to enhance participation and learning?”, “Where can we integrate drama into our curriculum?”, “How can we assess the learning outcomes reached through drama?”. This project will develop basic and transversal skills such as leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution, communication, ICT, projects planning and management. It will enhance professional skills as well and ability to structure them in order to reach envisaged learning outcomes. Teachers will improve their English, promote intercultural awareness and learn about Croatian culture and cultures of other participating countries. They will provide insights into different education systems and compare them with Lithuania's. Teachers will also get the chance to observe different educational systems. That will improve their vision and give them new perspectives. It is believed the project will strengthen the European collaboration among people who have similar ideas, a belief to make learning interesting and better to everyone at school. Teachers will have a great opportunity to acquire technical and practical knowledge through a methodology based on team work, discussions, storytelling and elaboration using a method called "action learning" (practical exercises and simulations). We strongly believe that the teachers will be more creative, dynamic and professional and will integrate good practice and innovative new methods into their work at school. Thus they will be ready to develop future international partnership projects for the pupils as well.
