Teaching Tools for Community Engagement and Employment

With this project, PACO Ltd is committed to further development its staff, so it can advance in delivering even better educational and guidance services. 20 staff members ( board, staff, part time staff.) participated in a set of training courses, i.e. Backpacker Journalism and Social Circus Skills, that both focus on learner centered and strength based approaches. These are narrative and appreciative approaches, question techniques to lead better, dialogue methods to address the power of social integration and community cohesion.As a result of this project, PACO Ltd improved and expanded their educational services and delivery which is learner focused. PETRKLIC HELP has experience of working with young people specifically and this knowledge and skills broadened the knowledge and skills base of Adult trainers(Staff) working at the PACO Ltd. BPJ is an addition to a variety of media competencies needed in the world of work today and these competences enabled our staff to learn and gain experience and using this tool in reaching a wider audience.Youth Exchange Service (YES) is an non- governmental organisation that provides opportunities for young people to develop ideas and initiatives, promoting youth participation and citizenship. YES has experience in organising several youth exchanges,voluntary services and training programmes.Some of the staff members participated as trainers and participants in Global Citizenship training within Youth in Action Programme and in the project Step Into Europe, within the Europe for Citizenship programme. This partnership provided staff of PACO Ltd the opportunity to develop skills and competencies which will enable them to reach more members of marginalised communities to develop ideas and initiatives, promoting participation and citizenship. The tool of Social Circus will broaden or engagement tool base and give access to people that are hard to engage with due to socio-economic circumstances.Through the BPJ Training programme staff learned how to use digital and social media to engage with a variety of people.YES contributed to the training of Staff in Social Circus Skills which will be used to address social issues i.e unemployment, social dialogue and access for the disadvantaged.
