The Szelid Szavakkal Alapitvany is a foundation active in the field of parent education, with the aim of extending its activities to the field of early education, kindergarten and school education. It already co-ordinated international workshops and co-operation projects, and now sees itself as an organisation offering its knowledge and tools based on the insights of the Parenting by Connection approach to parents, educators and organisations at the European level as well. The aim of the present project was to make the first step on this way by 1) gaining better international recognition and furthering our international network 2) capacity building of the foundation's staff and volunteers. It is also important to motivate our staff and volunteers to take part in international projects and helping them to gain self-confidence in their English language skills to do so. The project consists of three main activities and the activities of dissemination of the results and learnings: 1. 23-24rd of May, 2015. - Teaching activities carried out at Embercombe organisation in the UK to train their staff in the Parenting by Connection approach. This was delivered by two of the foundations staff members, Zsuzsanna Egry, a Certified Parenting by Connection instructor, and Györgyi Gonda, in training to become instructor. 2. 25-29th of May, 2015. - After the training, our instructor was involved as a teaching team member of Embercombe's yearly "Grow the Grown-ups" family education programme, while our instructor-in-training was a participant at programme. 3. 22-27th, Nov., 2015. - Participating at Embercombe's leadership training "The Journey" to gain necessary skills for managing the process of organisational development ahead of us. The course was attended by the foundation's president to be better able toi manage the dynamic growth our organisation is experiencing. As part of the preparation activities, a series of short video teaching materials were created to introduce 3 main ideas of the Parenting by Connection approach. As a result of the present project, as well as other initiatives taken by us during the period of the project, we have a more motivated and committed team at the foundation, who are more self-confident in participating/managing international activities. We also have our plan for the necessary organisational development ready and it is being carried out. We also have had done extensive work in mapping and contacting possible partners and clients interested in our work both in Hungary as well as at the European level. We have contacted 200 organisations in Europe, and have introduced our work to them. As a result of this campaign, we got 19 expressions of interest from 10 different countries, with 5 of whom we have applied for another mobility grant for us to teach the Parenting by Connection approach. As a result of the project we have greater impact both locally, nationally and at the European level, and contribute to a society where families and children are flourishing, because life in all fields is organised and managed in a way that their true needs and nature are taken into account
