Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Teachers for Quality Education is a project of Andrássy György Catholic Business Academy, in which we would like to offer the opportunity to our colleagues to participate in European mobilities, to develop their professional competences and methodological skills. In our school’s 5-year strategic development plan we have identified the main areas for improvement and in accordance with that, in this project we would like to improve the competences of the management and staff regarding internationalisation, methodology and the acquisition of new skills. Our institution emphasises internationalisation and in this project we would like to achieve the professional development of our teachers by gaining international innovative experiences thus enhancing the development of the educational work at our school. In order to see what is best for the school community, the head of the institution and the heads of departments along with the international coordinator of the school assessed the further educational needs of the colleagues, cross-checked them with the objectives which are important for the education They concluded that for the sake of the continuous professional, methodological and personal renewal, the teachers have to participate in teacher training courses abroad, where they can learn about the most modern methodological practices that they can use on a daily basis. As a result, in this project a smaller number of colleagues take part in mobilities. Our principal takes part in a 1-week course organised for headteachers in the United Kingdom. She wishes to learn more about building a community as well as to expand the number of our partner institutions in order to gain further good practices. Our deputy headteacher participates in a 1-week course in Icelnad that aims at reducing the number of dropout students. Three language teachers wish to learn the latest trends and innovative techniques in English and French teaching for the increasing number of language exams in the United kingdom and France. Our Physical education teacher enrols in a course for ski instructors in Austria, so that more of our students can learn to ski and take part in a fun free-time school activity. Our music teacher wants to discover and use other methods than the Bartók method enrols in a 1-week course in the United Kingdom, and our teacher of Economics enters a CLIL course, a method to be introduced to students for the first time. All of the above mentioned courses are essential for the school’s development and their findings and are to be disseminated and used in the everydays of the institution. The participating colleagues enter one and two week courses mainly during the summer holiday of 2016. The courses were chosen by the participating teachers and the management in accordance with the school’s strategic development plan. We expect the improvement of the competences of not only the participants but also the colleagues of the same majors, both professionally and methodologically. As a result the lessons become more interesting and effective by using the new methods, good practices and modern tools. We also expect the development of the school’s international relations during the training.
