The objective of our project is an integration of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) into our school policy. Thus, our team consisting of seven dedicated and carefully assigned teachers will be responsible for the implementation of this new concept in our lower grades as well as for its realisation. The participants are teachers of English and Spanish as well as other subjects suitable for CLIL, such as History, Psychology, Philosophy, Mathematics and Geography. To guarantee best results our foreign language teachers will work in cooperation with the subject teachers. To be able to meet our expectations we need to improve not only our knowledge on CLIL methodology but also our foreign language skills as well as refresh teaching methodologies paticularly relating to teaching CLIL . With the help of the teacher training in question we expect our knowledge on CLIL and its methodology as well as language skills to improve. Especially the latter is very important as this enables the realisation of the imlplementation of CLIL at our school. This will have a great influence on our lessons as it will equip our teachers with the required tools. Acquiring and enhancing the confidence of subject teachers to teach in English and thus, putting English language learning into practice with our students is one of the key aspects that furthers the implementation of CLIL at our school. Furthermore, we also intend to establish international bonds and future partners for intercultural overseas projects. As far as long term benefits are concerned we envisage to establish a well thought-out and efficient CLIL policy at our school. Our assigned teachers will play a vital role in establishing CLIL at our school and are responsible for its realisation.
