Tap-Swipe-Pinch. Tablets changing the way to learn and teach
Date du début: 15 oct. 2015, Date de fin: 14 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

This project deals with the integration and use of advanced and modern technological tools in the learning activities taking place in the school environment. Specifically, the object of the activity in this application are the well-known tablets and iPads and their integration in the educational and learning activity,. The title of the project is "Tap-Switch-Pinch. Tablets changing the ways to teach and learn " and will be held in Spain in autumn 2015 . Our foundation is the Primary School 3 of Argos, a 12 / seater school operated within the Single Restated Education Program and its student population is up to 250 children. In recent years, despite the period of economic crisis in our country, our school has managed to greatly improve itself both in terms of logistics and in terms of instructional design and training of all the staff. Having satisfactorily covered issues of technical infrastructure (operating modern stable ICT laboratory, mobile computer lab, video projectors in all classrooms, etc.), teaching staff identified the need for training on modern methods of ICT integration - and in particular mobile computing devices (tablets) - in the teaching process. Therefore we chose the ICT teacher of our organization and asked her to "represent" the whole teaching staff in this training plan. The ICT teacher of our school has - in accordance with the CV - appropriate educational and cognitive background for both the project completion and the dissemination of its results. The project aims to solve the issues of difficulty in integrating technological tools in the teaching practice, help the teacher of each specialty to redefine the role of the media, reduce the administrative burden and open up new European and international horizons in the school unit. The training plan has a duration of seven days and during the lessons the trainees will enjoy plenty of activities such as co-creation and sharing of content and interactive material through tablet and iPad (team work in video, text, images, presentations, etc.), management and organization of the school time and the teaching processes, scientific calculations and data visualization for exchanging and processing data and creation of scenarios for integrating new pedagogical practices as that of the Flipped Classroom. Using modern and efficient educational methodology, such as that of teamwork learning, learners will understand the correct and safe use of these mobile computing devices and will develop or improve skills that will then help the progress throughout the school. Results from the project will start to appear directly, as the dissemination activities in the school will be carried out as sooner as possible by the ICT teacher. Through donating mini-courses, in private discussions, publications in the school blog and more, the entire school staff will be able to understand the important concepts and tools that make the difference while using tablets in education. They will all be able to coordinate their tablets and the PCs to create, present, approach and eventually catch the interest of students in the classroom. Furthermore, the dissemination of the experience of a member of the school community in intercultural issues and ethnic diversity, is set to open new, international horizons to our already European sensitized teachers and bring us into contact with partners across Europe. It is clear that the implementation of the project and the benefits of this training will last much more than just one year. It is clear that when a school community opens its international horizons, the entire local society becomes, through interaction, an active member of a group that wants to cuddle her and offer her a lot.
