The motivation behind the projects stemmed from our own experience in the field of international youth work. We have had the chance to work on numerous projects with an international team, and we believe that it is possible to prepare for certain language and technical aspects of such work. The objectives of the training were twofold. Firstly, we aimed to deliver a concise and hands-on approach to the linguistic toolbox needed to carry out international projects. Secondly, we wanted to provide the opportunity to learn about the latest in technology whose aim is to facilitate personal productivity and remote teamwork. The total number of 24 participants were chosen depending on their respective organization profiles and participants’ individual positions within the organizations. The activities undertaken during the training can be broadly put into two categories. Firstly, morning sessions were mostly devoted to short lectures, model situations and examples of good practices whereas evenings offered a more hands-on approach with case studies and workshops. Participants were encouraged to find solutions to their situation based on the information given rather than offering them a ready-made answer. As for the results, the participants learned how to respond in specific language situations arising from international work environment and their work flow has become more efficient. In the long run, they were given tools for further development in both English studies and technical aspect of their positions.
