Our EVS project called: “Take Ol of it!” was an individual long term EVS for one volunteer, lasting 7 months from 1st February 2015 to 31st August 2015. The project took place in Olomouc – the university town in Moravia – the eastern part of the Czech Republic. The volunteer split her working time between three organisations: United Games of Nations - Czech Republic (youth organisation with mainly regional but also international focus), Children House Olomouc (institution, which provides leisure-time activities for people of all ages, but mainly for children and youth) and Academic Sport Centre of Palacky University (sport and leisure activities for students and also children). In all of them the volunteer focused on main activities and in addition got experiences in office work (work in different computer systems and programs, writing projects applications, articles and monitoring reports, preparation of PR materials). The goal of the project was to share large experiences mostly through non-formal or informal education and offer as much possibilities to self-realisation as possible, which we hope helped the volunteer to get to know more about Czech culture, herself and her culture in comparison to others.
