Tikkurila Upper Secondary School is the biggest Upper Secondary School in Finland including 1160 students and about 70 teachers. By the decision of city of Vantaa Tikkurilan Upper Secondary School got 585 tablets which are located in every classroom (13 tablets/classroom). All teachers have their personal tablet. All teachers receive the basic tablet training provided by the City of Vantaa. There is no doubt that innovative pedagogical use of tablets requires extra training. The culture of learning and teaching is changing towards digitalization. This requires extra training and sharing best practises. There are three different groups in Tikkurila Upper Secondary School which are responsible for creating new ways to learn anfd teach. These groups are ICT-group, group which is responsible for new syllabus and group which members work as a tablet administrators. The purpose is to send nine (9) teachers to get international training to learn how to use tablets in a pegagogical, innovative way. These nine teachers represent three groups mentioned before. All teachers had a possibility to apply these trainings. Six teachers are english teachers, two teachers are music teachers and on teachers is a history teacher. Teachers have to find pre-knowledge concerning pedagogical use of tablets before the course starts. During the course participants actively create networks and benchmark best practises. After the course participants share their knowledge to other teachers. The main goal of the training is to improve teachers skills to use tablets in a pedagogical way. The role of students as a learner have to be more actice and the role of teacher is to support learning. Trainings should cause changes in pegagogy. These changes will be measured by using the OPEKA-tool. OPEKA is a web based survey which investigates teachers skills to use ICT as a part og learning process. All teachers in Tikkurila Upper Secondary School have answered OPEKA-survey two years ago. It is possible to compare results before and after training and evaluate possible changes.
