PROJET
TERMINÉ
The nursery school with Integrated Classes no. 226 “Small European” in Warsaw consists of 13 divisions in which there are 307 children. The base of our activity is upbringing and teaching children in an integrative system of education. We raise the children in the idea of integration and teach them to respect the alterity of another man. Since the nursery school with Integrated Classes no. 226 has taken on the name of “Small European”, that is since 2007, it has systematically been passing European values onto it’s alumni. One of the main goals of our activity is the development of patriotic and European attitudes. We incorporate European priorities oriented on tolerance and diversity into all of the operations taken in our nursery school. Since the school year of 2011/2012 our teachers have participated in the e-Twinning programme and until now they got involved into 9 projects prepared by teachers from other countries and prepared, realized and obtained partners for 5 e-Twinning projects of their own. We wish that our pupils achive the highest scores and find pleasure and joy in education. Having many successes in preparing and fulfilling local project and innovations such as Warsaw Educational Initiatives and having a lot of experience in realizing e-Twinning projects we wish to keep progressing and to make the next step towards Europe and international cooperation. We plan to fulfill a project and raise our staff’s qualifications within the Erasmus+ programme and afterwards develop the European experience and extend the realization of the projects within the e-Twinning programme as well as start projects in the Strategic Partnership programme. Aims of the project:- the exchange of pedagogical knowledge in multicultural context,- the ability of spreading good practice on local and international level,- the ability of promoting innovative pedagogical practice in the international area,- enhancing support of the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning languages,- obtaining the methodology of teaching English language, especially teaching children through action - songs, rhymes and creative group activities,- the development of language skills of teachers and administration workers,- acqiuring competence in teaching English language,- obtaining bigger fluency in using English language.There are 16 teachers and 1 administration worker involved in the project. Four of the teachers are taking part in language-methodology courses whereas eleven teachers, the head teacher and one administration worker in a language course. The main project actions involve:1. Language training, logistic meetings and language tests for the participants.2. Training all the participants in the use of “technological-communicational” tools.3. The execution of a language course preparing to mobility in order to enhance language skills for workers on the lowest level.4. Participation in courses that are to perfect the language skills on different levels of Effective English in reputable language schools in Great Britain and on Malta.5. Planing different forms of sharing the knowledge and experience aquired during the course in the local environment.6. Evaluation of the project.During the realization of the project the teachers will use a variety of modern methods of working with children such as: the play pedagogy method, the Batii Straus active listening method, the TOC method, the fictionalized play method, drama and methods aquired during the mothodology courses.1. Use of the knowledge and abilities aquired by the teachers during courses to establish the changes which should be introduced by our nursery school to obtain the long-term goals.2. Establishing the plan of implementing pedagogical, methodical, organizational and other changes which will favour the realization of the European Development Plan of our nursery school.The fulfilled project will cause an improvement of methodical qualifications of the teachers and the laguage skills of all the participants. This will make the cooperation within the e-Twinning and participation in the second action of the Erasmus+ “Strategic partnership” programme possible. Moreover the project will enable us to acknowledge and realize new methods of teaching English language, in particular in form of playing, during the whole day and by that it will enable us to improve the teaching programme.Potential long-term benefits are:- the increase of the educational offer of our nursery school,- the extending of international cooperation - through acquirement of the language and by that getting access to specialized literature and direct conntacts with foreign educational agencies,- development of the attitude of tolerance, respect and openness in all of the project participants,- obtaining by our nursery school a European dimension.
