PROJET
TERMINÉ
The main objective of our Project is to prepare the school to create a class in which selected items will be carried out in CLIL . In 2013, the School received an invitation to participate in the ECLIC Multilateral Project (concerning teaching subjects in English) . The outcome of the Project, which brings together schools from 18 European countries , will be a full GUIDE to CLIL teaching of general and vocational subjects . Elected subject-teachers have been obliged to take part in CLIL training , which shows strategies for taking action , possibilities to construct CLIL classes based on key competencies , CLIL learning / teaching styles, etc. Due to a low level of communicative abilities among subject teachers , most future trainees are forced to attend a purely linguistic training before the proper CLIL course. After completing a series of training and gaining access to the knowledge and hints included in the Guide , our school will be ready to create a pioneering CLIL class in the School Year 2016/2017 , in which our teachers will introduce elements of their subjects in English. It will be a brand new offer for students in our region , and we hope it will bring a lot of interest from their side . This in turn will translate into increased student motivation to work , significantly better results and it will raise class attendance . It should be noted that the School will be the first vocational institution in the region, where the staff will be prepared to conduct activities in CLIL . The introduction of such a system of education will in the future enable our graduates to easily find themselves in the European labor market .
Another goal of the project is the improvement of our teachers workshop . We strive to improve our classes, to introduce new elements of high interest for the student, new methods and forms of work , such as those actively involving the student. We take part in courses and methodology training , but in our own country , where we all live in the same educational reality, we continue to copy the already well-worn patterns . ERASMUS PLUS Training Program gives us access to a completely new knowledge, makes it possible to compare different educational systems and different solutions to school problems . It allows us to share experiences , insights and tools developed in various European countries , by teachers who probably face problems similar to ours. Doing a Bi -Component training , during which the teacher has an opportunity to observe the same type of lesson , equips us with brand new ideas and observations . Especially language teachers are facing enormous challenges: foreign language is alive and constantly changing , is ubiquitous on television, the Internet , mobile phones , notebooks , etc , which means that it is present in a student's everyday reality , and not an academic reality , but the colloquial one , using everyday language , full of idiomatic expressions, abbreviations , jargon , etc. There is no possibility of teaching a foreign language today without a continual improvement of language skills . Trained teaching staff means a greater prestige for the school and respect for it in the eyes of students and their parents . Trained in their subjects specialists will be able to more effectively focustheir students' attention and infect them with their own passion. This again means more commitment and motivation on the part of students and better academic performance during final exams .
A very important objective of the project is also making the school counselor familiar with how the British school is doing in terms of psychological and pedagogical support for students from poor or dysfunctional families. Such a teacher is responsible for developing methods and tools to support a student playing truant, a student with poor results in school subjects, a student with emotional disorders, experimenting with drugs or already addicted. We would like to have access to newer and better solutions that would allow the school to provide more professional support and assistance to its students and their families. Bi-Component training is a great solution here.
And finally - international contacts that will enable us to raise the level of Europeanism through systematic cooperation in school projects, participating in online forums, organizing youth exchanges, international conferences and meetings of staff to share good practice, corresponding with teachers / students ofromother European countries. All of the selected types of training, due to the international nature, allow us to achieve this goal ..
