Date du début: 31 déc. 2014, Date de fin: 30 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

There were four institutions taking part in the project called " Színes Európa" or "Colourful Europe", : our school the Székesfehérári Vasvári Pál Secondary Grammar School, Torre di Babele in Rome, Alpha College in Dublin an IPC in Exeter. With the consent of all our teachers we deputed the following three colleagues to take part in the foreign teachertraining courses sponsored by Erasmus +: Csanády Mária (English-Art majors), Regősné Kobán Mónika (English-Maths) and Óber-Fekete Noémi (Italian- German). The main profile of our school is teaching of foreign languages. The majority of our students manage to finish school after having passed a language exam. Many of them take the advanced school-leaving exam. That is why the training of our teachers of foreign languages are crucial in order to enable them to work in an efficient and successful way. The changing nature of living languages demands that teachers (should) keep up with the innovations and the new claims of the students. Besides we aim at gaining authentic materials to let our students get to know the general and specific European culture. In this way they not only learn a certain foreign language but they also broaden their historical, cultural and literary knowledge. Further aims include improving critical approach, self-confidence, sense of responsibility, capacity and revealing new opportunities. Teacher training courses abroad contributed to reach our goals. Coverd tasks and developped areas: - The Exeter course helped to analyse, plan teaching supplies and web sources and value them in a constructive way. They put emhasis on pronounciation, visual organisers, developping vocabulary and listening skills. Micro-teaching, self-evaluation. Optional programmes: visited Exeter, Dartington, Tintagel and Bath. Excursions: bike trip to Exmouth and Dartmoor. - The Dublin course highlighted methodology using authentic cultural and language materials, meanwhile developped all skills. Optional programmes: National Museum, Trinity College, Dublin Writers Museum and sight-seeing. - Using opera and cartoons on the Italian course brought new methodological approach for all the teachers of a second language. Teachers observed practical didactics moments for the lesson preparation, utilized new methodologies and put new acquired knowledge into practice. Took part in optional programmes: got to know wineries, attended Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly, went sight-seeing. Interactive materials were not frequent on all the chosen courses, covered 40%. The Exeter and Dublin courses laid stress upon CLIL – Content and Language Integrated Learning especially focusing on Maths and Arts. Our school also prefer enterpreneur skills, thus taking over, swapping and integrating good methodological devices, and even planning common projects. Interpersonal and citizen skills, which can basically de applied in international projects, and teamwork, were planned to promote learner autonomy and project work by using different techniques according to the varying learning abilities and capacities thus improving them at the same time. All these competencies were enriched by our project. The pedagogical guidelines of the Vasvári Pál Secondary Grammar School succeeded with the participation in these courses because it gained intercultural increment. The training courses considered personal experiences, strongholds and shortcomings thus reflecting and giving a hand with self-awareness, self-examination and self-esteem. The former methods covered with thick layer of dust were refreshed and set to the new exam requirements, improving new competencies and to the demands of the new generation. Besides the other members of our staff could also gain profit from the training by participating in workshops presenting the new methods, learning them and using them in their own classes and by getting access to autentic materials. The courses chosen gave an outstanding opportunity to improve the international relations of our institute by meeting participiants from other countries, and revealing the aspects of collaboration. All participants benefitted from our European inheritance, and they gained knowledge how different cultures influence the global European civilisation. On different levels of dissemination they summerized and described their experiences to share them with other colleagues and parents. As a result of taking part in this project we claim that our teachers could refresh their language skills, broaden their repertoire with new authentic materials, and go through a methodological recreation useful in the long run and worth to share. Also their self-esteem, attitude to teaching, enthusiasm, job-satisfaction got stronger. Our long-range plans include building partnership with other schools, and working on common projects, e-Twinning. Last but not least Óber-Fekete Noémi organizes cultural and language trip for students - attend a course at Torre di Babele in July, 2016.
