System of Georeferenced Information of the marine resources in Macaronesia
(SIGMARMAC)
The main target of the project is the elaboration of a marine georeferenced database. The application of the actions will be shaped in GIS for the Macaronesia islands. This GIS will allow to analyze the environmental problems and changes that affect the biodiversity and the marine ecosystems, to allow a better understanding and management of the marine resources of Macaronesia, in a sustainable, integrated and agile form. In addition, it will serve for consultation and as tool of use and management to the different estates from the society, administration, enterprise sector and investigation.
