Powiatowy Zespół Szkół Technicznych i Zawodowych is going to implement the project entitled “Students from Świebodzin Gain Experience in Catering and Hospitality Abroad”. It is going to be implemented in the period of June 1, 2016 - May 31, 2018. The following third-year students of technical vocational school will be participating in the project: technician of hospitality – 2 forms, technician of nutrition and catering – 2 forms. Basing on recruitment rules, 10 students of each form will be chosen to participate in 30-day apprenticeships in Malaga, Spain. Particular mobilities will be being held in the following terms – November 2016, March 2017, November 2017, March 2018. Altoghether, 40 students of PZSTiZ will do a monthly apprenticeship. During their stay in Spain, the participants of the project will be staying with Spanish families. The objective of the project is to do a high quality apprenticeship in Spanish hotels and restaurants in Malaga. Each participant has to implement 160 hours of apprenticeship. The participants of the project will attend special pedagogical and cultural preparations. As to language preparations, they will use modern language learning tool – OLS. During their stay in Spain, the participants of the project will have 2 visits which enable them to get acquainted with Spanish culture. At the end of the apprenticeships, each participant’s skills acquired in Spain will be verified so that they can get certificates established in this project – ECVET and Europass Mobility. Immediately after their mobilities, the participants will provide in their classes presentations about their apprenticeships in Spain. After having implemented all the mobilities, two publications will be published – a cookbook “Spanish Cuisine Recipes” and an English Dictionary of Professional Terms of Hospitality Industry with the elements of Spanish. The project will strengthen the position of PZSTiZ among hospitality and catering vocational schools in the area. Implementation of the project will contribute to the increased interest in hospitality and catering course of education. Owing to the big amount of the participants, this project will improve the quality of human resources in hospitality and catering industries which will be also beneficial for local employers.
