The project "European awareness" is based on the assumptions of the EU Strategy -Europe 2020 in relation to education. According to the strategy, Europe will be able to achieve permanent growth only by highly skilled people. Steady increase in quality education is required. It will involve the systematic skills updating of the teachers, especially through training. The school is open to innovations and follows educational innovations, where possible. Improving the qualifications of teachers through participation in improvement courses abroad helps in the development of the school giving it European dimension. It raises European awareness of the teachers and students and develops international dialogue thanks to the contacts. In this edition of Erasmus+, the school intends to raise the qualifications of teachers from the first and second stage of education- English teacher and early childhood education teacher-speaking French and also a headmaster- Polish teacher and librarian. They will participate in language, cultural and methodical trainings in the UK, France, Italy, Cyprus, Malta and Ireland. Participation in these courses will improve the language skills, European awareness, knowledge of best practices, new teaching methods, including the effective use of ICT. It will enrich the curriculum of the cultural elements and allow to establish international relationships that will allow to make new projects eg. in the eTwinning program in the coming years. Experience and knowledge gained during the training, participants will share with other teachers. The will enrich the school library of training materials received, examples of the application of new methods and tools to teach and prepare cultural presentations of different countries. Information on the Erasmus + project will be distributed to the widest possible audience. It will appear on the website of the school, the City Council Stary Sacz, local press, during meetings with parents, headmasters or professional achievements during the presentation in the Board of Education. Other educational institutions in our region will have an example of good practice in the use of European funds. The school will be a role model and will help to promote the EU policy in the field of education.
