SWEAST
Date du début: 1 mai 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

SWEAST means Sweden+East, as it is pronounced, means "whistle" in Russian, which seems to be a good association for the project being a strong and confident sound of motivation against war. SWEAST is a job shadowing project for cooperation between Swedish and Ukrainian partners on post-war recovery and strengthening of regional cooperation in the long-term perspective. It will bring one participant from Union Forum, Lviv, Ukraine to Föreningen Framtidståget, Stockholm, Sweden for 40 days, starting from the 1st July 2015. The project corresponds to the European values and reflects the objectives of Erasmus+ objectives: raising awareness of multiculturalism and supporting basic human rights and developing sense of European citizenship, supporting young people with fewer opportunities and vulnerable groups of society, peaceful cooperation and network building, supporting learners in the acquisition of competences, reinforcing synergies and transitions between various types of learning. To serve as a link between two organizations and two regions, the participant - Tetiana Sarabun - is going to cooperate closely with her coach and to shadow the staff of Framtidståget both in professional and humanitarian area: project managing group and treatment staff (youth treatment, shelter housing, AD and stress therapy) and leading NGO in general. This includes office work, documentation work, participating in meetings, discussions, theoretical learning, help in organizing events, following staff members while holding meetings with clients (e.g. AD group), field visits (to youngsters' families, foster families, sheltered housing). We believe that watching, following and active participation are the important elements of job shadowing experience. Seeing various examples of treatment work, its interaction with the project work, combining both branches in the work of NGO, the participant will have an opportunity to reflect on new knowledge, aware new methods and think of possible implementation back in her own, her NGO's and society's reality in Ukraine. The new experience will be useful even in the implementation of our common TC in Ukraine on post-war recovery and in the long-time perspective for contribution into NGO work, youth establishment, strengthening of civil society and development of regional cooperation. We suppose this project to become a start for new peace-building projects in the region.
