Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

During the Sustainable life in rural village EVS project our NGO, Sustainable Ormánság Nonprofit Ltd. hosted 4 volunteers (Portugal, Spain, Romania, UK) for 8 month in Hungary, Kémes. They were living in Kémes, experienced the rural life, took part actively in the NGO's activities. We were working in the villages of the Ormánság, organised workshops (recycling, weaving), volunteers learned the old professional technics. We organized trips on the Ormánság Greenway, the volunteers got the opportunity to get to know the region, the villages, local youngsters. Aim of the project was, to introduce the rural life for the volunteers who are involved from Europe, from different cultural background. We wanted to open Europe for the youngsters in the Ormánság to meet with people from other cultural background. The local youngtsers had the opportunity as well during the project to introduce themself for their friends who came from far away. To keep the sustainable life needed to keep the youngtsers in rural areas. It is needed to discover the village life through learning old traditional professions, farmings, motivate the local communities. The volunteers who arrived from urbanisation joined this process, and learned how to act in rural area. We supported the volunteers Hungarian language knowledge, which helped to integrate easier and the volunteers and were able to communicate with the local youngsters. Our NGO supported the own project ideas of the volunteers. The volunteers got theoretical and practical knowledge during the 8 month voluntary service. We prefered non-formal educational method during the whole project like learning by doing, experimental learning or global education. Our goal was to involve the volunteers in the everyday life and the work of the NGO such as project planning or project implementation, which can easier disseminate the project idea in the home country.
