The main aim of the project „SustainABILITY - towards effective self-organisation of youth collectives“ is to promote active and participative citizenship through sharing the knowledge and experiences of selforganisation and exploring the methods for groupwork, striving to support developing competences such as management and organisational, social, methodical and personal competences. The project includes close cooperation between Kulturlabor Trial&Error e. V. with 6 partnerorganisations from Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Finland, Hungary and Serbia to select participants, prepare and implement 9 days long training course in Berlin, Germany as well as spreading the results of the project. The participants of the training course will be selected through open call, welcoming good mix of representatives from already established collectives as well as people with future plans to start one. The project will include both people with privileged situations as well as participants with geographical or economical difficulties, including participants from rural and urban areas, limited income or unemployment.
Youth taking an active part in society using tools and learning from best practices of selforganisation – with this vision Kulturlabor Trial&Error e. V. has initiated the training course "SustainABILITY - towards efficient selforganisation of youth collectives". Tackling the issue of rising youth unemployment, questioning the concepts of "work" and “community“ and exploring the ways of selforganisation on basis of equality, respect and solidarity, experimenting and sharing the experiences with innovative, open, sustainable and self-organised structures - these are the basic intentions of the project "SustainABILITY - towards efficient selforganisation of youth collectives".
The training is planned to be balanced between input from different concepts and theories through experts, practical sessions on methodologies as well as sharing and reflection. Besides, methods of creative activism will be integrated in the training process. With a clear foundation considering coherence of values, human-relations and team spirit and with functioning organisational structures regarding workflow, project-management and team- and networking we expect self-organised collectives to get the chance to implement projects successful, motivated and efficient. Through experimentation, sharing and learning by doing we strive to create a network between self-organised collectives to support each other to work together on the idea to improve social and environmental drawbacks.
