Sustainability in Healthcare
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

In line with the current trend in Europe, the Center for Classical Homeopathy (CKH vzw) wants to contribute to raising awareness of the citizens concerning the choices that are available in complementary care, especially those that offer a sustainable solution for the actual problems in health care (increase in diseases, financing the healthcare of an ageing population and abuse of medication). A team of six already experienced speakers and trainers wants to study the concept of sustainability specifically in health care and is drawing on the expertise in the region in the UK known for its pioneering role in systems thinking, ecology and sustainability. The Schumacher Institute in Bristol will design a workshop cut to the needs of the organization and provide tools to put knowledge and insight about sustainability in practice. An extended literature list will be used as a basis for preparatory meetings and discussions. Following the workshop the team will bring some inspiring visits to the School of Homeopathy and the Bristol Homeopathic Hospital to study how these principles are put into practice on a daily basis. After the training abroad, the participants will make a report and an action plan to incorporate arguments and insights on sustainability into their lectures targeting the wider public and to spread the information to the complementary care network and authorities. They will also apply these principles as best as possible in the management of their own organization.
