Sustainability - A Possible De-/Il-lusion?
Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Sustainability is one of the most important demands and aims of our time. But what exactly is sustainability? How does it influence our everyday life? Does it exist for us personally at all? Usually, the ecological aspect is connected first with the term "sustainabilty" : how to deal with regenerative energy, with waste management and prevention, with sustainable economy? But sustainability is a matter in business processes as well: how can a company make their employees feel at home and stay with it? How can it integrate them actively into its development? There is also the demand for lifelong learning, a special variety of sustainability. How can I learn sustainably so that I can use my knowledge longer than only for the next test? Which competences do I need in my (business) life? Finally, there are the global changes and the migration that is connected with them. How can a country, how can Europe act sustainably? How can refugees and migrants be integrated sustainably, not only into society, but also into the educational and vocational system? How can countries be stabilised sustainably so that citizens don't have to leave any more? This project investigates the various aspects of sustainability. Part-time students on job training will investigate during their job shadowing how their peers learn, how they work in different countries, how the employees are integrated into decision-making. Full-time students will investigate during their time in college how competences are acquired there which can be used for the rest of their (business) life. The topics of environmental protection, sustainable usage of raw material and the potential of renewable energy are another focus of the mobilities. The results of all this will be used to develop new learning and teaching concepts. The educational experts will develop ideas for a new curriculum in cooperation with college, NGOs and companies. Its focus will be on enabling refugees and migrants an adequate school and vocational education which will be advantageous for both the hosting and the home countries after their return.
