Project aims at the development of structural measures needed to improve conditions for commercialisation of innovations by universities in Ukraine.Wider objective: To ensure that universities in UA are capable of creation and delivery to the market innovations of high scientific and commercial valueSpecific objectives:-to bring analysis of best EU practices in commercialisation of innovations by universities by Nov 2013-to implement a novel methodology approach towards education of graduates able to facilitate interaction of academia and innovations-intensive business by May 2014-to develop recommendations on the improvement of legislative basis for commercialisation of innovations in UA by May 2015-to deliver and verify in practice mechanisms and a framework for commercialisation of innovations by universities in collaboration with other stakeholders by Oct 2015.Objectives match UA needs relevant to EU modernisation agenda reflected in Europe 2020 Flagship Initiative “Innovation Union”.Project team involves HEIs from 5 UA regions representing engineering, economics, and law domains. This enables multidisciplinary professional approach to development of structural measures. EU is represented with universities from Poland, Portugal, Sweden and the UK, providing opportunity to learn variety of best practices from different EU regions.Principal deliverables:-Concept for commercialisation of innovations in the system of higher education in UA;-Awareness of best EU practices among stakeholders responsible for creation of innovations and bringing them to market;-Model of internal regulatory framework and explanatory policy documents as a roadmap for commercialisation of innovations for universities;-Teaching methodology updated towards acquiring skills in delivery of innovations to market;-Help-desks for knowledge transfer in universities at five regions of UA;-Recommendations on further legislative reform to support commercialisation of innovations.
