The project aims at increasing the level of development of local economy by using human and natural resources (land as a mean of production, renewable energy, know-how, people) in the regions of Eastern Slovakia and Zakarpatya. Objectives: Motivate local actors (entrepreneurs) to do the business in RSE area for better exploiting human and natural resources of the region by developing a pilot local non-profit company producing briquettes and pellets from available phytomass; Improve knowledge and provide inspiration for local actors and other inhabitants of the regions of Eastern Slovakia and Zakarpatya within small business using local endogenous resources; Improving the usability of the potential in people inhabiting peripheral regions and their involvement in mechanisms using their personal skills and gumption to self-help and mutually beneficial production of facilities using energy from the sun; Improve the availability and specificity of information regarding endogenous resources in Zakarpatya region and Kosice region. Expected Results: Estimated results: Direct increase in the use of resources (human, energy) in the peripheral regions, on the newly built manufacturing line for the production of briquettes and phytomass, associated with the existence of some already working examples, which would serve as a inspiration; Extending the level of knowledge and awareness of local leaders on some already existing examples of small businesses in the area of renewable energy; Increase of knowledge and skills of active people, with the potential for production of solar panels; create an infrastructure for this purpose; Increase of awareness among the public about the benefits of renewable energy and business opportunities in this area.
