The idea of the project came up as a fusion of few ideas. First was idea of Filip Pająk - future volunteer, who wrote us about his plans of starting a journey with voluntary service in order to promote European Union and european values aborad. In the meantime we came up with the idea to organize summer camp with EVS volunteers in Wroclaw. Then, our partners and us, decided to make kind of exchange of volunteers and invite Poles to Georgia. Summer is a period when most people think of relaxing rather than job, so why not to link both? The aim of our project will be to promote European Union and European values amongst Georgians, mostly dwellers of Tbilisi. Volunteers will be four young Poles, mostly from small cities and villages, who due to their economical difficulties cannot afford going abroad. Through this project we want to help them to spend summertime learning about different culture and to get familiar with education in other dimension. We want to make them feel part of European family. What is more, for Georgian youth it will be beneficial as well, since they will have a chance to make their summer holidays more attractive, meet people from other country and culture and learn something new. In our project we will use number of non-formal education methods. Beside intercultural, ecological or language workshops we will organize street actions, street polls and events - all this with media coverage, which will be done by filmmaking, photography, blogging. Project will last two months, during which half will be spent on workshops with kids and half on preparing polls, events or movie making. Projected results of this project is film reports from street actions, short movie with street poll and a blog. Putting these result on our webpages and fanpages will allow us to reach over 9 thousad people. Long-term results will include improving each other's culture in respective countries, mean of understanding between Poland and Georgia, further development of volunteering idea and intensified youth exchange between Georgia and EU.
